What is available for me to do?
Rosemont offers many opportunities for members to be involved musically. First, there is the Handbell Choir which
can always use new members or substitutes so that we can utilize the 3 octaves of bells that we have. Next, there is
the Senior Choir which can always use more voices, and you do not have to be a "soloist" to be a member. We are
hoping to develop a Children's Program soon. Anyone that can sing, you may be a cantor, or could offer to do solos
at times throughout the year. If you are an instrumentalist, we could use your services at various times throughout the
year, or feature you as a soloist on any particular Sunday. If you have any musical talent, you need to approach the
person in charge and let him/her know your abilities and interests.
How are the hymns and music picked?
Hymns and organ music are basically chosen to coincide with the propers for the day; that is the lessons, or the theme
for the day. This should be true also of the choirs' music. The idea is that everything that is done on a particular
Sunday all meshes together to encompass the theme of the day.
