L.I.F.T. Event at Muhlenberg College - June 9, 2007
The theme for the LIFT event is based on a verse from Lamentations:
"Let us lift up our hearts as well as our hands to God in heaven." (Lamentations
3:41, NRSV)

Choices, choices, choices.  There were so many choices for activities!  There
were workshops, (of which I went to a music workshop), concerts in the chapel (I
made it to 3), Bible Bingo, Outdoor activities on the lawn, Conversations with
Bishop Strobel, Conversations with Persons of Faith (Bach, Martin & Katie
Luther, Henry Melchior  Muhlenberg, ELCA Deaconesses and Dietrich
Bonhoeffer), The Augsburg Fortress Book Store (I made it in there too), various
Ministry Displays, SWIM Concert (youth musicians from Emmanual Lutheran
Church in Emanuelsville), Youth Lunch with Bart Campolo, and a Children's
Program that ran for 2 1/2 hours.  Funds raised from the Run /Walk in the
morning went to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal (www.elca.org/hunger).  The
day ended with a service in the Life Sports Center.
